Socks! And more socks!

I cannot believe it but I have now finished 3 pairs of socks in Feb! Ok, these were just under the wire but hey! I just finished loading them on Flickr in the socktopia group. I have not been using Flickr much since I cannot see it at work, and it is so slow here!

Anyhow, my 3rd entry for the month of Feb...in the short and sweet category: Cool huh? My daughter's school colors (And OSU if you care...I really do not care too much, but living in Ohio, I have to pretend don't I?)

And they are made from CLEARANCED Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino...Yep, sale yarn! How cool! They are actually my new feel good socks!

Took Dad to the surgeon today, all went well. He can even drive now if he wants. I hope he wants. We also visited Whole Foods (I love that place!) And stopped at a new VW dealer to find out that I really did have my Lug/Rim key. And that the moron that looked last did not have a clue!

Cool huh? No extra bucks I have to spend after all! Yea! Yippee!

We have got SOCKS!

Life has been crazy, but that is ok. In this mess, I have found a bit of time for some knitting and may actually find time to write my very first sock pattern.

I had picked up this sock yarn from YarnArt Crazy Color at a great price. The cheapest pair of socks I have knit yet! And even though there is more acrylic than wool, I actually love these socks! These will be my entry for Feb on Socktopia! I am so excited to have completed at least one pair for a theme in the time alloted!

I altered a pattern from SockBug's blog called Bubble Wrap! (Oops cannot find her link right now...I need high speed!) It turned out great! And so cozy! Now all I need to do is figure out how to upload them to the right place on Flickr! I have to do this at home, since all picture hosts are blocked at work (where the connection is much faster!)

My second pair are made from Steinbach Wolle: Sockenwolle in a lovely coffee brown. And the yarn was from my coffee and yarn swap partner.

They have holes! On purpose holes! Cool huh? Well, I think so. I will work on writing this pattern out and then post it!

I also finshed a few other things I will add to my picture book later!
We are supposed to be playing Volleyball in Toledo, but again Mother Nature has interfered and we got stuck at home. Quite a bummer, especially since I was really looking forward to visiting my old college. (Hey, I need a new sweatshirt!)

I have just joined SP10 and will be posting the long list of questions shortly! So excited. I skipped SP9 since I knew I would be a bit busy! So onto SP10

On the serious side, I have been MIA since Jan 30/31. My Dad had a heart attack on a Weds, heart cath on Thurs, and Open Heart Surgery with A quad bypass on Friday. Fun huh? When he was released from the hospital, he wanted to come stay with us. And then decided to get sick on the Thursday after we brought him home. Nice stomach bug that landed him back in the hospital and now an infected incision where they took the vein from his leg...so off to the doc's we go again! The bug he caught went through the entire household. Hit me at the wrong time of the month, if you know what I mean!!!  Great fun, I assure you! And then snowed in! We have at least 15" on new snow! They just lifted the snow emergencies. What else can I get into!

Anyone I have ignored please forgive me! I am so late in sending a package to a great knitter in Canada~Will be going out today, as long as I can keep Dad in the car. We actually had mail canceled yesterday. What happened to rain, sleet, snow, etc.?

I have finished some knitting! Have to show off all the pics later!
