What a Weekend!

Finally finished my 1st reading class. I am hoping to get a certificate in Special Ed in case the district that I work ends up cutting the arts. Keeping a job is the top of the priority list! Finishing this class only involved a 10 p.m. trip to town for a new scanner...that then had too high of a resolution, etc. About 4:30 a.m. I finally figured it out!
But we did have fun at the grocery store:

No Pictures or Knitting

Recently I have been boycotting Wal-mart...not because of their low pay for workers and lack of benefits, but because the last time I was in the store I went to the toy aisles with my son and found an aisle in the middle selling SODA POP and CHIPS. Not many understood why I was so upset but I went on with my quest. That is until I broke down and needed water. I love their gallon bottled drinking water. (On a side I know that it is produced by Magnetic Springs but I have no idea where else to buy it.) (Another side note....I have kidney stones, I drink a LOT of water and can tell the difference in waters quite easily!)

Ok, so I decide to do a little comparison shopping. I usually shop at Kroger and had just completed a huge buying trip so I was very current on my pricing.

Since I am on Weight Watchers, I decided to check out those promised low prices on Smart Ones meals.

Kroger regular price: $1.99 and then another tier for $2.50 (That is without coupons, which Kroger doubles!)

Walmart regular price: $1.98 and the next tier $2.88

Not seeing the savings!

So I am back to my boycott.

(Ok, I did buy many gallons of water to tide me over!)

Seven school days down...and no "Real" art cart yet! Seems it is back ordered. Some day I will get organized! I feel like I am falling so far behind. The kids have been great sports about it all! And funny, as only an elementary child can be!

Wish he was always this attentive! But I cannot compete with Laurie Berkner on Noggin'! (Man, I wish my curly hair looked that good!) Just wish that Jack's Big Music Show was on more and with new shows!

Art on Cart

Ok, sad but true, I am Art on a Cart for over 500 students and 22 different classes this school year. Even worse, School started 2 days ago and my "Cart" did not yet arrive as it is on back order. Ok...
I have very talented and creative friends that spare No expense free time to torment support  a friend in need.

Uh-oh!

Someone is growing up way too fast!

Hmmm...that is not a fly!

I was sitting on my great deck enjoying the afternoon with a little knitting as the boys were sleeping. Something caught my eye.
My daughter has a Venus Fly Trap plant on the table here getting some sunlight and some dinner. But if you look closely it is not a fly that it caught.

It is a Daddy Long Legs...still moving! Ick!
